🇺🇦 Meanwhile in Ukraine — telling Ukraine’s story to the world Every day, millions of people see only fragments of what Ukraine is living through. Our team of Ukrainian journalists works to change that — by reporting the truth, documenting courage, and amplifying the voices that Russia tries to silence. We show what really happens on the ground: — frontline stories and verified war updates — moments of resilience and humanity — culture, history, and the people who refuse to disappear — the global solidarity that keeps Ukraine alive We are fully independent. No sponsors. No state funding. Just Ukrainians doing everything they can to keep the world informed. If our work matters to you — if our posts helped you understand Ukraine better, feel closer to its people, or stay connected to the truth — we invite you to stand with us. Your support, even $3, keeps this project alive and ensures the world does not look away. From the U.S. to the U.K., Canada, Sweden, Australia and beyond — readers from more than 40 countries already help us continue. We’d be honoured to have you with us too. 💙💛 Thank you for being here. Pressure is not a slogan if Moscow can feel it. ㅤ Ukraine struck Russian oil, port infrastructure, and military targets, reaching systems that help fund, move, and protect Moscow’s war. As NATO weighed support for Kyiv, the real question became sharper: how fast promises can turn into pressure on Russia. ㅤ Ukraine is already putting pressure where Russia runs the war. Allies have to decide how quickly they will match it. ㅤ buymeacoffee.com/meaninuak/top-…

Perm Krai. 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine. Ukrainian drones just reached it. A Ukrainian UAV struck the AKM chemical complex of Metafrax in Gubakha, Perm Krai. Locals reported three impacts at the facility. The plant produces ammonia, urea and melamine - with a daily capacity of nearly 900 tonnes of ammonia and over 1,600 tonnes of urea. Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed several UAVs were intercepted on approach. Metafrax is not a border installation. It is one of Russia's largest chemical producers, deep in the Ural region.

Support only becomes strategy when Moscow can feel it. ㅤ Ukraine struck Russian oil, port infrastructure, and military targets, reaching systems that help fund, move, and protect Moscow’s war. NATO faced the harder question behind every promise to Kyiv: how fast support can become real pressure on Russia. ㅤ This war is not waiting for statements. It is being shaped by what reaches the battlefield, the ports, the fuel lines, and the decisions behind them. ㅤ patreon.com/posts/top-news…

"Russia had the second-best military in the world before it invaded Ukraine. Now it has the second-best military in Ukraine." U.S. General Charles Wald didn't call it a joke. He called it a truism. Two years of Ukrainian resistance distilled into one sentence by an American four-star general. And his conclusion was just as direct: Ukraine has shown great courage. We should support them. When generals start talking like this, it's worth paying attention.

Rubio says the peace talks "were not fruitful." Here are the numbers behind that phrase. U.S. negotiators visited Russia seven times. Ukraine: zero. Concessions were demanded from Kyiv before talks even began. Weapons support was cut off. Ukraine was publicly pressured while a Russian peace plan was presented as a take-it-or-leave-it offer. That is not mediation. That is pressure applied to one side. Now, after Ukraine has stabilized its position without U.S. support, Washington says it is stepping back because talks weren't working. The question worth asking is: what exactly was being tried? There is a cleaner path. Visit Kyiv. Maintain weapons support. Sanction Russia's shadow fleet instead of issuing sanction waivers. Apply pressure to the aggressor, not the country defending itself. Fruitful negotiations tend to follow from that.

Novorossiysk. The largest oil storage facility in the Caucasus. A fire is now confirmed. Ukrainian forces struck the port city of Novorossiysk hours ago. The Grushevaya oil terminal - operated by Chernomortransneft, a subsidiary of Transneft - is now reporting a fire. NASA FIRMS satellite data confirms the blaze on terminal grounds. Local authorities have closed roads to deploy mobile response units. Residents are posting footage online. Grushevaya holds approximately 1.2 million tonnes of petroleum products. It is the primary collector for the Novorossiysk oil export port. This is not a fuel depot on the periphery. It is a central node of Russian oil export infrastructure. Support link is in our Bio.

Ukraine holds championships for FPV drone racing with payload. The winner's time: 29.708 seconds. Pilot Nazar Karmannikov, callsign McQueen, flying an F7 from F-Drones for team Free Sky, took first place at the Ukrainian Technological Sport Cup. The event was held under the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. Speed. Precision. Control under pressure. The same skills. The same drones. A different kind of front.

Sweden's Prime Minister just told Europe to stop falling for Russia's narrative on Ukrainian drones. When Ukrainian drones occasionally land on allied territory, Kremlin propaganda moves fast to frame it as Ukrainian recklessness. Swedish PM Ulf Kristersson pushed back directly: jamming and signal interference cause misdirection, not intent. His conclusion was clear: help Ukraine target better, don't adopt the Russian framing. An ally who understands the difference between a technical problem and a propaganda opportunity.

Putin didn't invade Ukraine because of NATO. He invaded because Ukrainians were proving democracy works. Historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum puts it plainly: Putin looked at Ukraine's democratic movement and thought, "If they can do it in Ukraine, then people could do it in Russia. So I need to crush this." That's the real threat Ukraine posed. Not missiles. Not borders. A working democracy next door. Applebaum frames the war as a fault line between the democratic and autocratic worlds. Russia isn't just trying to take territory. It's trying to erase Ukraine as a nation, reduce it to a colony, and send a message to every country that the post-1945 rules of Europe no longer apply. Those rules were simple: no invasions, no wars, borders don't change by force. Russia understood exactly what it was breaking when it crossed into Ukraine.

A U.S. Senator just asked a general if Ukraine is giving Russia a "curb-stomping." The general said yes. Sen. Kennedy, Senate hearing: "With their limited resources, they've knocked out 40% of Russia's oil export capacity. Since January, using drones and limited cruise missiles, they've hit oil and gas facilities within Russia over 100 times. Not on the border. Within Russia." Gen. Smith confirmed every word. Kennedy also asked if Putin was so scared he almost had to cancel Russia's military parade. Smith said: "I will take your word for that, sir." This is the U.S. Congress, on the record. The robot hit two mines on the way back. The soldier inside survived both. A Ukrainian robotic evacuation vehicle extracted a wounded serviceman from a frontline position. On the return route, it struck two mines. The armored capsule held. The soldier was delivered safely and transferred for medical treatment. 2 hours 13 minutes. 36.5 km. Two blasts. One life brought home. That's what Ukrainian engineering looks like when the mission is a human being.

Ukraine just struck a Russian warship. On the Caspian Sea. On the night of May 7, Ukrainian forces hit the Caspian Flotilla's naval base at Kaspiysk port — targeting the Tucha, a Karakurt-class missile corvette that joined the flotilla in 2024. Tucha is a carrier of Kalibr and Oniks cruise missiles. Satellite imagery confirms an FPV drone struck the vessel's superstructure directly. The ship's fire control system — used to calculate and launch Kalibr strikes — was damaged or destroyed.

Russia’s rear is becoming part of the war it started. Ukraine’s drones are making distance matter less. ㅤ Ukrainian drones are turning Russia’s rear into a battlefield by reaching the systems that help sustain Moscow’s invasion. At the same time, Europe is facing a harder question: whether symbolic support is still enough when Ukraine is fighting a war that keeps expanding in range, pressure, and cost. ㅤ Ukraine is moving the pressure deeper. Europe has to decide whether its support will move with it. ㅤ buymeacoffee.com/meaninuak/top-…
