A lot of people are making the mistake of thinking "Hollywood-ish visuals" = Hollywood Film. In the 2010s everyone got a video camera in their pocket, and some directors said "Everyone can make a film now!" There will be millions of low budget character-based films by millions of film students! It was true - anyone could have used their iPhone to make a great indie film, but only Sean Baker and Steven Soderbergh did. Why? People spamming these AI video engagement bait posts are implying that the limiting factor for a great blockbuster is a large VFX budget, but the real limiting factor is good story, characters, acting, and directing. That's what's actually hard. Even hacky but fairly competent is rare. Anyone can write a screenplay, but you are more likely to play in the NFL than be a successful Hollywood screenwriter. Not because of a cabal of gatekeepers, but because 99.99% of screenplays are painfully bad garbage. But people won't realize this is true until they try cooking Hollywood for themselves.

They say it’s over for Hollywood but movies like Project Hail Mary made 140 million worldwide on opening weekend and Hoppers has made over 242 million worldwide since its release. Where are these AI movies they keep taking about?
