@TheUncleSpam If only there was a melee DPS that did tons of damage specifically to tanks...

@Mali_Maliboo @AwestruckVox They’ve established that erasure isn’t perfect and even not permanent (ears still having evidence of tools for ears, and nukes naturally coming back). So it’s not far out of left field that chainsaws did come back, it’s just not in the form of Pochita being tied to Denji’s life
English

@AwestruckVox I'm just confused on how Chainsaws weren't erased even though by eating himself, the Chainsaw Devil, the concept of Chainsaws should be gone but they aren't
English

The “that’s not how Pochita’s power works” takes are kinda crazy because
1) we only ever saw him erase body parts so we really don’t know how his powers affect timeline related concepts like WW2.
2) the fact q-tips were suddenly sold as instruments DOES imply it can rewrite history. ears didn’t exist for only a few mins. that wasn’t a spur of the moment business pivot
3) the reality-altering entity eating himself causing reality to be radically altered is not that hard to fathom or inconsistent lmfao
English

@Common_mon @AwestruckVox And it’s not a bad thing. Denji is tied down but not being used in a malicious sense.
Instead, he gets to play the hero fighting devils, but also have friends too.
English

@AwestruckVox Denji didn’t end up there based off any of his choices. It feels unsatisfying because FROM BEGINNING TO END Denji was leashed both to his urges and to those who sought to use him.
He ends the series still tied down too.
English

idk, kishibe always thought denji was built to be a great devil hunter and it was never for his powers. it was because of who denji is as a person. him winding up there in a world without pochita makes complete sense

micah@rezemaxxed
mind you it doesnt even make any sense that public safety would contract some random bum kid if he wasnt related to pochita, it just gets worse the more i think about it
English

@FiveForFedding @AwestruckVox You don’t understand how much me replying to negative critics of the ending have just endlessly been reminders of stuff that happened.
English

@AwestruckVox Seeing a lot of CSM takes that make me feel like no one actually read the manga. Not this one but the one you're QT'ing.
English

@Ben561391568688 @Jaiydanimate Its kinda hard to point out reading comprehension issues with a fandom and not have it sound like an insult
English

@Jaiydanimate are people who liked the ending capable of talking about it without having to insult the intelligence of those who didn’t like it?
English

@emilyis_emilies When people tell me the themes of something don’t matter it’s like…yes it does. It’s the massive point of the story that people walk away from the experience with cause it had something meaningful to say.
English

@Helldivers_NOW Dark Souls-ass dodging here
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken I said likely, so I can't say if he did or didn't with 100% confidence.
We do know erased devils can come back, so it's not impossible.
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Are you positive? I could easily see Pochita somehow surviving.
English

Part 2’s message is blatantly “Don’t mask your selfish desires under noble intent” if you ask me
Denji’s motivation to continuing being a hero was fueled by lust and a need for adoration. It was a hollow endeavor.
Asa’s motivation to save Denji was fueled by a desire to prove she’s a good person, that she’s worthy of living. Yoru ultimately vindicates her, but dedicating your life to save/fix someone you barely know is a hollow endeavor.
They both were so focused on chasing these selfish, empty goals that they neglected the world ending around them and got nothing out of it.
Public Safety also does this in the story. Barem and the weapons less so, but still do. Shit even Tanaka in the first chapter sums this up - acts as if he has Asa’s best interest at heart, really just wants to sleep her.
Bino@AnimeGuru100
Ask a Chainsaw man fan what was the point of part 2 and they just look at you like this
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken I wasn't really implying Pochita was physically there. It's likely more symbolic than anything.
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken And if Pochita is in his heart that still doesn’t mean he actually remembers Pochita it just means that Pochita survived…
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken True, but that's definitely up to interpretation. That's why I said it's debatable.
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Couldn’t that be a visual of him remembering a moment of Pochita in his heart? That doesn’t mean he actually REMEMBERS Pochita.
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Quotations is crazy work when we get a visual of Pochita in his heart, but you do you
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken It’s nothing but “déjà vu.” He doesn’t really remember anything. He doesn’t remember his old self or any of the mental conflict he went through as chainsaw man.
Cool he’s doing something a version of himself that basically never existed wanted him to do, goals ig?😭
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Debatable (since he vaguely remembers chainsaw), but he's clearly living out the life of fighting evil and doing good by others. Even if he doesn't express it out loud, he is doing what past him wanted to do.
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Denji doesn't hit his want to be a public hero until Part 2 where he really indulges in that aspect. In the ending he gets to be that to a smaller degree, but get to keep his relationships too.
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Denji has nearly the same habits by the end of part one BECAUSE of makima lol. Part 2 wasn’t needed for Pochita to figure out the path he was going.
English

@ZDiff2036 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken Nah, Pochita comes to this conclusion while seeing the entirety of Denji's journey and habits through 1 & 2.
English

@MechaG11 @borushiki21 @AwestruckVox @Akuji_Forsaken You’re objectively wrong . You can have this same exact ending without part 2.
English

@BasedTurkey23 @lukaglazer777 @AwestruckVox Not true, we know for a fact he's good at fighting Devils, and now he has a proper support system now by finding all these things on his own.
Without Pochita in the way, Denji is actually able to achieve the things he wants.
English

@MechaG11 @lukaglazer777 @AwestruckVox Pochita didnt know shit either he says in the text he doesnt know what will happen
So in his POV he really is just sending Denji to die in the shack unless Power somehow just gets to him before he dies
Its a mess
English

@MechaG11 @JackSablier @ConWei_Oficial It's not that it's important to their lives. It's just a loose end. And I think Nayuta represents a completely different leader compared to Makima. So it might affect Denji in many ways. I don't know, I'm really disappointed overall.
English

#csm232 and how does getting rid of pochita cure denji of chasing sex and objectifying women when its not pochita who put those ideas into his head. Now all of a sudden he's normal about women?
Español

@GameChangerz06 @JackSablier @ConWei_Oficial This is true, but since it's not tied to Denji due to lacking CSM, it's not super important in the lens of Denji and Asa's lives now.
English

@MechaG11 @JackSablier @ConWei_Oficial Sorry I misunderstood earlier.
The problem is that this only happens after Makima dies. And we never get to know how Makima died in this continuity.
