We already have characters representing Aikido and Tai Chi. TEKKEN also features quite a few Kung Fu-style characters. Many members of our team have actually trained in various martial arts, so we still have plenty of options to explore—but they do tend to get a bit niche. After all, we’ve already covered most of the well-known and classic martial arts styles.

@WNightFightClub You’re not wrong in the history for the characters, but for the history of Capcom vs SNK it was “Ryu vs Kyo”. This is like replacing Cyclops in MvC handshake art with Wolverine because he’s more popular than Cyclops right now.

Friendly reminder that Takashi Nishiyama is the OG creator of Street Fighter AND Garou / Fatal Fury franchises. Not only does Terry predate Kyo by three years, but Terry & Ryu share the same creator, making them sort of half-brothers. That’s not key art, it’s a family reunion.
