In Gaza, civilians living in overcrowded camps and unsanitary conditions increasingly face an alarming threat from rodent and pest infestations. The proliferation of rats and mice poses serious public health risks, particularly in shelters and densely populated areas. MedGlobal teams are documenting cases of rodent bites among children and the elderly – and warning that if unaddressed, the problem could grow worse. What does a world without pest control look like? In Gaza, that is not a rhetorical question. Gaza-based content creator @Elina_Yazji speaks with families in Gaza, shedding light on what this means inside displacement camps, where parents are trying to protect their children from insects, rodents, and contamination around their tents. As summer approaches, the risk is growing. Overcrowding, rubble, waste, stagnant water, and sewage have created dangerous conditions for displaced families. Disease will follow without urgent action. Help MedGlobal implement cleanup and pest control solutions. Give today: ow.ly/Mymi50YYjo2

What does a bronchoscopy unit mean for patients and doctors? It means doctors can look inside the lungs and airways using specialized equipment, helping them diagnose respiratory conditions more accurately and guide treatment decisions more quickly. A new bronchoscopy unit is now operating at Homs University Hospital, with support from MedGlobal through the Syria Recovery Initiative. The unit will help expand access to specialized diagnostic care in Homs and strengthen clinical capacity for doctors, residents, and patients as Syria’s health system continues to recover.
