@End_myeloma Can't agree more. Trainees, junior faculty often tell me, they want to do CART or transplant etc. & I always tell them, don't get enamored with therapies, but instead learn to treat a disease and the tools available to achieve that goal.

Our loyalty is to our patients, not our treatments. Defining ourselves by the treatment we administer blurry our reasoning, bias our research, delays the progress. We can be proud of the skills we acquire, but need to be ready to let them go as the field moves forward. #mmsm

Millions of Americans remain at jobs they hate for one reason: the health insurance they receive. That’s absurd. Universal health care will give Americans the freedom to choose the work they want without worrying about health care coverage. Another reason for Medicare for All.

Today we have: ☑️ More income & wealth inequality than ever before. ☑️ More concentration of ownership than ever before. ☑️ More billionaire control of the political process than ever before. Our job: create an economy and government that works for all, not just the few.
