@amy_oakden @BBCTees Napping. Whoever had time for a nap when you were younger? Not for long, or every day. But an occasional nod, mid afternoon (often with the dog) is a proper luxury, and you wake up raring to go. Who knew?!

@amy_oakden @BBCTees My amazing daughter asked me to do the 'father of the bride' speech at her wedding. In a lifetime peppered with public speaking, it was one of the most joyous things I've ever done, full of tears and laughter. The best of days.

@amy_oakden @BBCTees Pocket money depended on chores we did - 2d (old pence) for setting a table, 2d for clearing it, 4d for washing up, 4d for hanging washing, 6d for walking the dog. Mum kept score in a little notebook. Spent on the Beano, the Dandy and the Beezer and penny sweets. Happy days...

The final total of bikes collected by #Berwick #Rotary for the charity Re-Cycle was 84. They have now been taken out of storage and loaded onto a truck and trailer for a 4am start on tomorrow's journey to take them to Colchester. That's a round-trip of 700 miles ,(1,120km)
