Insane how it has a gorgeous and unique artstyle and when they decided to remaster it for modern consoles they like "hmmmm let's replace all this beautiful art with screenshots from the anime with no way of letting the player turn it back!"

well, i just beat jills story. barry is a really good side character in this but i do think chris' ending was much stronger. amazing game all around though

yeah i liked chris' story in RE1 actually, it's very simplistic but i actually think it works very well and the moment where chris just laughs in weskers face over his supposed "peak of evolution" was a very striking moment to me. hoping jills is even better

@hitsujimamoru @cplcra @bansama Japanese companies are notoriously risk averse and avoid anything that has miniscule amount of risk. I actually just saw a character with Nazi eye being redrawn to not offend. Do you think localizers redaw these eyes as well?

My take on the discourse of needing to engage in a game to be a fan is that yes, you do need to play the game in order to be a fan. And if you only watch YouTube videos then you’re a casual fan, and your position to be apart of meaningful discussions is significantly limited.

@CouchPotato232 Sure, but I think the fact that there is a difference between fans suggests that theres inherent “levels” to being a fan. We don’t gotta keep track of this like it’s our job, or if it even weighs on you while having discussions, but it’s there whether we like it or not.

This is the most manufactured discourse ever I'm ngl literally who cares. I watched playthroughs of some KH games when I was younger cause I couldn't play them. I'm pretty sure most of us have watched a stream of a game we haven't played and thought "yeah that game was cool" lol
