@lokiscottishrap It’s one of the questions we ask people to think about in Mediation because too often we tend to say how the other party has caused the issue; it’s more difficult to identify what part we have played in the escalation.

@JoannaCannon In Mediation a lot of the time, someone just wants a sincere apology . No ifs or buts , just ‘I’m really sorry , I was wrong’ . It can be so powerful .

Isn't it WONDERFUL to see a (gracious) apology without an 'if' in it.
Honestly, it makes me feel so much better about the world, because it's a reminder that it's okay to make mistakes, to rethink and reflect and say 'actually, I was wrong'. How bloody refreshing.

Did quality work for a big organisation . One training session consisted of a PowerPoint of 32 slides each containing a chunk of text and data taken from an internal report . Presenter prefixed it by saying ‘ I realise these might be hard to read’ 😱 Never forgot it !
