NYC Fleet Availability for Tuesday, December 23, 2025. There are 651 FDNY EMS Ambulances in the fleet. Of that, 488 ambulances are supposed to be in service. There are only 324 ambulances on the road today. FDNY EMS is short 164 ambulances today. Yes. 164 ambulances.
