@goblue7923 @jjss64 @Arjunvsampath GSW chased the regular season wins record. Come playoff time, they were drained. Down 3-1 to OKC, who was by no means elite.

If we are starting a nba league from scratch and every player in the history of the league is available, is Wemby the number 1 pick overall?? Ahead of Jordan, ahead of Lebron?

@goblue7923 @jjss64 @Arjunvsampath Ahhh yes, the context of which doesn’t exist, right? Green wasn’t suspended a game. Bogut didn’t get injured. Curry and Iguodala weren’t hampered by injuries. GSW didn’t almost lose to OKC. It was LeBron who made the series clinching shot, not Kyrie.

@goblue7923 @jjss64 @Arjunvsampath “The biggest floor raiser” - how? In his entire career, he’s been heralded for beating bad teams with bad teams and good teams with good teams. Losing multiple times as the favorite somehow gets you the title of biggest floor raiser?

@MedillMorgan @jjss64 @Arjunvsampath Don't know what dirk has to do with this. Everyone lost to him that year. In a hypothetical redraft of the entire nba I'd never have to see Sasha pavlovic play with lebron in the finals lol.

@goblue7923 @jjss64 @Arjunvsampath The biggest floor raiser? Do you want to compete for playoff spots or titles? He needed a Big 3 to lose to Dirk and company. What are we doing?

@jjss64 @Arjunvsampath My argument has always been if there was 5 of them who would I pick. And its always been lebron. 25 years of all star caliber play that can play with anyone. The biggest floor raiser in NBA history beat 92% of teams in 2010s. Easy pick.

Jarrod Wilkins@JarrodWilkins7

@CHEATigan Not a single human who actually watches basketball needs to have played the game to know LeBron is in a completely different universe than Wade. Tim is just another old head who hates LeBron.

Old heads love saying “I know basketball” right before saying the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard. Wade was incredible, but prime LeBron was a different universe. Acting like his case is just “longevity” is exactly why nobody takes LeBron haters seriously.

Tim Hardaway Is taking prime Dwyane Wade over Prime LeBron James 👀 “LeBron has longevity. I’m taking Prime Flash over Prime LeBron… I know basketball. I’m a hall of famer… Look at the facts. Just look at it. Calm down” (Via Crossover Podcast)

@sadboiburneracc Calling it the “LeBron treatment” is implying that he somehow gets undo scrutiny. His biggest shortcomings were far greater than that of MJ. Yet people still proclaim LeBron is the GOAT. His peak was lower, his best moments were lesser, his worst moments were worse.

@sadboiburneracc Their interior rebounding was the biggest issue. MJ was rusty, but his 95 Magic series is eons better than LeBron’s collapse to the Mavs. Night and day difference.

@sadboiburneracc From an objective lens, his disappearance was far and away the primary reason they lost. The difference in performance from that series relative to the rest seals that fate. LeBron underperformed in dramatically bad fashion. MJ didn’t.

@sadboiburneracc LeBron WAS the primary reason the 2011 Heat lost. There’s not much debate in that. His underperformance was historically bad.

@MedillMorgan 95 Magic, but him being a favorite is irrelevant to the greater convo. If it was about being the reason your team lost as the favorite or with a lead, Kobe wouldn’t be held in such high regard either.

@Jayxce @bossfossOSU I’m going to say this right now. Stats favor BTJ, but skill favors the others. I am a Jags fan and want BTJ to be successful, but no one outside of LSU thinks BTJ is better than Tate or Egbuka. And Nabers wasn’t even the best WR in his class. He’s not better than Jeremiah.

@LordoftheSquad LeBron somehow being an elite defender is one of the greatest psyops of all time. Anyone who watched ball BEFORE Bron knows he’s an above average defender who gets lost on defense, rarely switches, and plays lazy at times.

Dwight Howard Joakim Noah Tony Allen KG And that’s was probably the worst era of defenders ever lol. He was just a superstar that was a plus defender he was never the best defender in the league ever which is why he never had a top3 defense despite the personnel.

@LordoftheSquad So who was the best defender in the NBA from 2010-2011 to 2013-2014?

If these dudes react to LeBron this way, then watching MJ in real time would’ve made these motherfuckers catatonic in awe LeBron‘s best playoff games are MJ‘s average game as far as impact on the W Stat sheets are for toddlers to pick bigger numbers and think it’s what winning is about

@sadboiburneracc We’re talking about completely different eras. The players hold the league hostage in many instances now. Polin made MJ step away from DTD duties/authority in WAS while playing. LeBron CLEARLY has had more influence over roster construction. Players have more power now.

@MedillMorgan I’d argue the opposite, given Jordan had direct control. Lebron definitely forced more hands, but he didn’t have the extent nor leverage Jordan did
