8 corruption cases against Island Beverage Maldives MD @JinanJaleel. cc: @ACC_Maldives 1. He travelled to Singapore on company funds for a training programme, but the training provider later contacted IBM to report his non attendance. 2. An amount of 1.8 million MVR worth of water was released without payment to a PNC activist, primarily to Maznee (through his two companies). The payment has now been outstanding for two years. 3. He travelled to Dubai and received an additional USD 1,000, but no details were provided to the company. Despite repeated requests from HR, no clarification has been given. 4. He travelled to Dubai to meet suppliers, but it is understood that he instead met with 10 resort operators from Maldives. 5. He travelled to Thailand with his family under the pretext of sourcing Tetra Pak solutions for IBM, but no business activities were carried out. 6. The 5G supplier was changed with the intention of reducing costs but the price increased instead. An advance payment of USD 35,000 was made to a Dubai based company (Elite Star) for 5G bottles, but the full shipment has yet to be received. Also, USD 100,000 was paid in demurrage charges due to delays in receiving the initial shipment. The matter has remained unresolved for nearly two years. 7. A transport service was hired from MP Ali Ibrahim (Kappi) at an excessively high rate. 8. Staff promotions were granted to certain activists who have records of frequent lateness and unauthorised leave, making them ineligible for such advancement.

Head of HR Department, Ali Huzaim, is the one who facilitates the accommodation of political appointees from MACL. As HR Head, he’s been holding back promotions and salary increments of deserving employees in order to make way for these appointees. He gets lists from PNC/PO.

After yesterday’s tweet, ICOM has now sent another email requesting a hearing on 8th April. This is exactly what they wanted, to delay releasing the total no of staff and payroll details until after the election. So technically, Team FENAKA won.. [ I already have details & photos I needed. I am told MD was forcing legal team & admin officers to not respond & skip hearings. You guys still have time till 8th to convince MD that you can’t continue to do dirty works for him ]

#MTCC update: Ahmed Salam, widely regarded as a principled man with strong values, has been suspended from his role as Head of the IT Division over suspicions that he leaked information about the project. Meanwhile, Abdul Wahid, who just returned back from council election campaign, is ready to take over the division.
