Captain Nicola Goddard was the first Canadian woman soldier to lose her life in a combat role. Remembrance assembly on Friday @westcot_school will appreciate how the important role of women in Canada’s military has changed over time. @WestVanSchools

I’m always grateful every year when our wonderful PAC @westcot_school provide a generous allocation of funds to each teacher! This year was no different, and I was able to purchase this fantastic Yamaha bass drum to enhance our band sound! @WestVanSchools

Is having a tuba in elementary band a first for @WestVanSchools? A tuba might be in a high school band, so @westcot_school could be making history by purchasing a tuba for our instrument library! Grade 6 student Yiyang demonstrates the exciting new bass depth to our band sound.
