As part of the project aimed at advancing the principles and practices of Agroecology, including facilitating the drafting of its policies, the CAPPA team visited the Osun State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security on 12 May 2026. The meeting, which was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and Directors of key departments, including Agricultural Services, Forestry, and Climate Change, among others, secured the State Government’s commitment to consider a draft Agroecology Policy. The State also assured us of its human capital and technical expertise as we commence the process. This marks an important step in our collective quest to rescue our food system from corporate profiteers and return control of it to the people. #SupportAgroecology #FoodSovereignty
