What a week! We had a great time creating our own gingerbread characters after reading a few gingerbread stories, learning some square dancing moves, rocking out to the Nutcracker Suite in music, and celebrating another Star of the Week! @mdhippos @FCCPS #WhereDoesTheTimeGo

We had a great day at @MountVernon yesterday learning about George Washington and what life was like when he was alive. We even saw a picture of a hippo! We were #thinkers, #inquirers, and #communicators. @FCCPS @IB_in_FCCPS @mdhippos

It’s always fun having a special guest from MEH! After reading a book she liked in first grade, Caroline played many rounds of hide-and-seek during recess. She was a bit tall for some of the hiding spots. @mdhippos @mehms @FCCPS

September was National Yoga Month. Each morning during Morning Meeting, we spent a little time practicing yoga. We learned new breathing techniques, focused on body awareness, and enjoyed every second of it. @mdhippos @FCCPS #selfmanagementskills #SELintheClassroom
