If there was one thing I wish I could get every American to understand it's this map. Being "closer to nature" doesn't make you greener. Cities are greener because people ditch cars & live in smaller spaces. Every apartment not built in a city pushes more people out into the red.

Since white ppl are now yelling any words from any Asian languages they know (esp. Asian foods, like sashimi) to insult Asian ppl, my bestie & I are talking abt what “American” food names we can yell back at these white assholes. Like, “fuck off you corn dog!” What else, folks?

@babybelladonna2 Had a baby and spiteful refusal to “be a statistic” was pretty much the only thing that kept me going. Nb. deciding to quit would have been a completely valid option b/c it should not be on parents to persist in a toxic system.

Did fieldwork, as in actually being in a park talking to people, for the first time in over a year. Talking to NYers about the glory of tulips, relativeness of 'fresh air' and 'quiet', and our unique relationship to rats was, as always, THE BEST.

This is good, but personally I recommend reminding everyone about the cycles of living and killing and dying and rotting that we are all (as beings in ecologies) implicated in with a rousing "someone's got to die!" Really sidetracks the conversation for awhile.
