Art is strange. There’s always the clash of what we as creatives think is good vs. what others think. And then we intentionally adapt our style to others’ tastes and vise versa until both sides perceive they have achieved something of “greater value” due to its broad appeal.

I often fail at my own advice, but it is something to strive for. When I lack motivation or think I'm not "ready", 9/10 the best way I move past these lulls is to simply do the thing. Now get to work!

One of the best things you can do as a creative of any skillset is to stop with the endless how-tos, quit comparing yourself to others constantly, and choose to struggle through the task a little every day. Experience is the best teacher.
