Had a breakthrough yesterday with one of my kiddos during math class. It was definitely a moment worth capturing in a photo. The smile on her face afterwards and hearing her say, “I can do this!” was everything. ❤️@MMPTurtles

One of my best lessons EVER. My S’s were engaged & had a blast. We did a “carousel review”. They had come up with a word/phrase for each of the 10 Famous People we’ve studied. I set a timer & they challenged themselves to see if they could get all ten. They LOVED it!@MMPTurtles

No worksheet Wednesday was a success in B1 especially during science!! Students were split into two teams and had to collaborate & create forest and stream habitats together. They needed to include water sources, food, shelters and animals that could walk and fly. @MMPTurtles

Ozobots were all the rage in 2nd grade today! Thankful to work with such an awesome ITRT like @mscherenzia3 !! My kids loved it and can’t wait to do it again! Thankful for your friendship @mscherenzia3 !! @MMPTurtles

We’ve been learning about cause & effect this week. Using the “If You Give a Mouse” series as mentor texts, students were asked to respond to the journal prompt “If You Give a Tiger a Lollipop.” In my opinion, this kid nailed it! I love our students in B-1! ❤️@MMPTurtles

Created a “Treatment Agreement” with my kiddos yesterday. It’s the best thing ever since sliced bread! ❤️ Our class family is bonding and I love it.@MMPTurtles

Finally got to put the puzzle pieces together today after school! I love how every year my kids come together as a family. It makes my heart happy to see them working together and supporting one another. We are a tight knit family- together we have it all. ❤️ @MMPTurtles

Today as one of my students was leaving for her bus, she gave me a hug and said “Miss Ryan, I’ll always remember you.” It made my day @MMPTurtles

Walk the Plank was an automatic favorite for our 2nd graders this first full week! Definitely a fun way to practice fact fluency while keeping them engaged in learning. One of our kids even said “This was the best week ever!” ❤️ They are my WHY. @MMPTurtles

I volunteered to #clearthelist this time last year. It was eye-opening as to what outside funding teachers actually need to educate and support their students throughout the school year. Here we go again. Hopefully my #smbtwit friends can participate in random acts of ❤️.
