Drew McKissick statement on the upcoming SC GOP debates: “We look forward to having every candidate who wants to be our Party's nominee for Governor pay respect to Republican primary voters by participating in as many of these debates as they are able to."

@RepRalphNorman is calling out @PamelaEvette over the SCGOP governor debates. "She's dodging the debates like she dodges questions..." Evette's team says they will decided if they'll attend the debate after officially filing tomorrow. First debate is next Wed #scpol #chsnews

Reminder to All SC Press: @scgop rigged "debates" are still a shakedown. Gotta ask yourselves why the low-T, corrupt @AGAlanWilson was so eager to agree to the ones offered by his cronies? He can't cut it on a fair debate stage without a rigged process.

🚨 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐓 🚨 “Lt. Governor Evette is a proven leader who gets results in business and in government. She brings people together with real solutions that create opportunity, which is exactly what South Carolina needs in our next governor. I’m confident she’ll take that same approach to cut taxes and regulations, improve our roads and bridges, and expand economic opportunity across our state.” - Rep. Charlie Hartz

The #SCGov Primary is heating up. I used to do a lot of work in South Carolina. I worked for both Lt. Governor Pamela Evette and AG Alan Wilson. I consider them both friends. But when it comes to who deserves the Trump endorsement, the answer is unequivocally - PAMELA EVETTE. Lt. Governor Evette has been a staunch supporter of President Trump from the moment he came down the escalator. She was a member of the Trump Victory Finance Committee and would attend fundraising events all over the country and help bundle donations for the Trump campaign. Lt. Governor Evette is endorsed by Governor Henry McMaster who was the first statewide elected official in the country to endorse President Trump in 2016 (when he was then Lt. Governor). When McMaster ran for Governor, he chose Pamela Evette as his Lt. Governor largely because of their shared passion and admiration for President Donald Trump. While I believe Alan Wilson is a good man, I was deeply disappointed in what I felt was a wholly inadequate response by AG Wilson - as well as the majority of other Republican AG’s - to the stolen election in 2020. I worked as a fundraiser for the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) for many years and was shocked when I was told by RAGA in 2021 that I would not be allowed at their Christmas Party that year due to my involvement in January 6. Alan Wilson was the Chair of RAGA in 2021 when that decision was made. During that same period of time when I was being attacked by the media and subpoenaed by Congress over J6, Lt. Governor Evette regularly called to check on me, express her displeasure with the crooked 2020 election and she even offered to help cover my growing legal bills - a stark difference from Alan Wilson whose only response was to uninvite me to a Christmas Party because my presence might upset some of the RAGA corporate donors. While this is just a small petty example, it does speak to a larger point which I think is critically important when Trump endorsements are being considered — who were President Trump’s friends on January 7, 2021? Who went to bat for President Trump when the times were the hardest? In relation to the South Carolina Governors race - there’s no doubt in my mind that the answer to that question is Lt. Governor PAMELA EVETTE, and that’s why she deserves MAGA’s support and President Trump’s endorsement.

A big win for South Carolina's heroes today! In August, I stood shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement and lawmakers in Edgefield County, pushing for the General Assembly to get the HALO Act across finish line this session. This common-sense measure gives law enforcement and first responders the space they need, after a clear verbal warning, to do their jobs more safely. I stand with law enforcement and first responders and urge the Senate to swiftly get this bill to Gov. @henrymcmaster’s desk.
