It's malnutrition awareness week! Bapen is calling for us to 'Ask, Look & Listen', to spot the signs of malnutrition early. Ask: check on vulnerable people, how are they? Look: check for visual signs of malnutrition such as loose clothes. Listen: actively listen to any concerns

Our August resource of the month is our new fact sheet ‘Initiating conversations about weight loss’ which includes questions that can be used to help lead discussions around concerns about weight and how well a patient is eating and drinking - bit.ly/3NUeosL

A4- I am polish. Working in community means O have to be on top with many specialities- NS, gastro and many others. Self doubt always creeps in sometimes - different nationality, accent, culture held me back many times. Now finding it to be my strength rather than weakness #rduk

A2: start from listening. Hear what others are trying/wanting to say- both staff and patients from diverse background may feel like they do not belong. Query their ideas and thought process to make everyone feel included #RDUK
