@audragabrielle_ Regardless of the details of this case, your stats are wrong. 7.5% is the false negative rate. Plus, calls are always verified by someone else to reduce the risk of an error.

fingerprint analysis has anywhere between a 0.1% and 7.5% false positive rate when the lifted print is clear and not smudged/altered. Add in close non matches, that false positive rate jumps to 15%. idk reads too much like a CSI episode to me

this solidified my belief this is a set up... there is no way they would be able to isolate fingerprints at a scene as widely touched/travelled as this one

@MegStauden @PirateWires @lexfridman I never said I want the government to shut down completely permanently. That would be stupid. The shutdowns only go to illustrate the fact that most of the Federal government is not "essential". We could gut 90% of it and nobody would notice.

@PirateWires @lexfridman It’s always funny when we have these government shutdowns because Congress can’t pass a budget. Everyone freaks out, but when the shutdown occurs what’s different for the average person? Nothing. This is what convinced me this is the right path years ago.
