@cybercpu Windows update are no longer optional, Updates are risky and one needs to prepare the time to do it, backup up recover from it. So we must protect our work flow and time, not easily a planned event in Windows 11. And I'm not even getting started on privacy

So does Linux. I repeatedly failed to boot into KDE every time I update my kernel. I have to manually reinstall my GPU drivers. But you won't use the same standard to judge Linux as you will Windows because it gets a special pass while Windows doesn't. Now failed updates in Windows are extremely rare. I've seen a total of 2 update problems this entire year and I have hundreds of customers. In both instances all I had to do was uninstall the previous update and pause updates for a couple weeks and everything was fine. On Linux every time it happens I have to Google how to install GPU drivers manually again. It's gotten so bad that I actually have notes on my phone now on how to do it so I don't have to research it every time. I don't get an undo button.

Okay, I think this needs to be said. I hear it repeated often that window's 11 is a memory hog and uses way more memory at idle then Linux. Here's the idle resources used by a fresh install of a fully updated Windows 11 compared to the resources used by a fresh install of a fully updated CachyOS. As you can see the difference in idle memory usage is 180MB. So Windows 11 idle memory usage is practically the same as Arch Linux in KDE. I understand that Windows 11 has issues and I want to see those issues fixed. But when the majority of problems Windows has are just exaggerations of reality it's not helpful. It's almost like there's a faction of people that don't actually want Windows to get fixed but want to scare people into not using it.

🚨For those who don’t know…. This is an enormous, taxpayer-backed industrial EXPERIMENT, involving pipelines, pressurised CO₂ and millions of tonnes of gas buried beneath the seabed every single year! The government wants to bury 30 MILLION tonnes a year…. Every year! This has never been done before! Norway has the most advanced system globally and they only bury approx 2 million tonnes a year… 29 million tonnes over the last 30 years in total! We have no idea the safety, cost or even if it will work! Carbon capture has failed globally, either economically or technically, where the system emits more carbon than it captures. Be very clear, the reason this project is so opaque and the government so secretive is because it doesn’t add up!
