This weekend my diocese (@arlingtonchurch) is doing its annual weekend of unplugging for Lent, where basically the challenge is to log off social media all weekend. I'll be participating & you should too since we're ALL horribly addicted to social media. See you Monday!

I don't ask for this often or really ever, but please pray for the repose of the soul of my Mom's friend who died this afternoon. While I personally haven't seen her in years, I used to see her a lot as a kid. She was an amazing woman and played the piano at mass.

As part of the proposed trade for Maxx Crosby, the Ravens were also prepared to sign him to a revised contract that would have paid him near the top of the pass rusher market. Had that deal gone through, it would have made also signing Trey Hendrickson VERY difficult.

🚨🚨INSANE RIPPLE EFFECT🚨🚨 THE #RAVENS BACKING OUT OF THE MAXX CRSOBY TRADE HAS SIGNIFICANT IMPLICATIONS FOR EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE LEAGUE: 1: The #Raiders: Have spent money which they expected to free up due to the Crosby trade, including Tyler Linderbaum, and they also now have two fewer first-rounders 2: The #Ravens: They now have both of their first-round picks 3: The #Cowboys: Trades for Rashawn Gary… which is bringing a significant salary board and would be hard to bring a board Crosby with that 4: The #Packers: Traded Gary to Dallas, but that deal is not official yet… could we see Jerry Jones go back on his word 5: For every team that I spent money in free agency that had interest in Crosby… now has that money allocated elsewhere, and it will be hard to make a trade for him Lastly, technically, every free-agent agreement is not official until tomorrow, when teams come back out, which could cause a major ripple effect on the cost of free agency for every team and player.
