Today I saw a Palestinian boy with the back of his head falling off, a man with a bloodied face dying on a bed, and the body of a young man being eaten by a dog in Gaza. The U.S. has vetoed four international attempts to end this horror.

Lebanese paramedics sit amidst the rubble, grieving their murdered colleagues. Israel bombed a Civil Defense Center in Baalbek, Lebanon, wiping out 15 paramedics in an instant. These were first responders, not combatants. This is sheer barbarity.

Words can't express how dumb this email is. We got this email back from one of my dream labels this week. Please. Stop labeling the artist with a red flag simply because they were born somewhere where there is conflict. This is what makes people want to quit music altogether.

When I escaped from an abusive relationship that got VERY abusive as I was trying to leave, my ex went around telling everyone we knew that his abuse wasn't what it looked like and it was actually quite complicated. Just like Israel and its apologists are doing right now. That's just what abusers do when people start calling their obvious abuse what it is, whether you're talking about interpersonal or international affairs. You see bloodthirsty swamp monsters like John Bolton using the "it's complicated" talking point all the time, because if you look at the raw data of the US war machine's behavior it's very clearly an extremely abusive and destructive force. Imperial narrative managers work hard to make the depravity of the empire sound a lot more complicated than it is so that people will assume it's best left to the authorized "experts". And because of how locked down our rulers have the information ecosystem it often works; people look at things like Israel-Palestine and assume it MUST be very complicated, because if it wasn't then surely their government and their media would not be so supportive of Israel.

Oof…this hits hard for me. In 2017 I could no longer afford to maintain vehicles from my touring income & decided to stop. My guarantees never passed 150-200$ & I just couldn’t make it work. STILL have had people tell me it’s my fault I’m not making $ bc I won’t tour right now.
