I see a lot of foreigners lamenting Orbán, some of them are friends. I'd like to ask you, and my compatriots too, that be patient before the funeral. For all we know Magyar is more conservative on immigration than Orbán was. Regarding sovereignty, maybe I'm retarded steppe barbarian, but I don't understand what implies that we'll lose more freedom to the West than we lost to the East. The Russians marched enough times on our bones, distancing ourselves from them is net positive. This is a question of principle. I would also remind everyone, regardless of political views, that we don't know how Tisza will run the country. Currently they had 0 days in office and made 0 bad decisions. I know I'm a radical optimist and whitepiller but we have to hope for the best, we have no reason not to.

Nah I’m coming. Same reason I kept coming back to romania when I was required to. My name is not some plaything for prosecutors and politicians to push around on bits of paper to make headlines and score points. I will clear my name, and then the perpetrators will have to answer to me.

Case update - Arrest measures against me were quietly ended today. 1,195 days as an American citizen under some form of arrest by the Romanian government including lengthy jail terms and years of house arrest. In all of that time they could not put together a case file strong enough to even merit going to trial let alone a conviction. I never got my day in court, I never got the chance to present a defence, I was never questioned. As it stands “they’re back at the investigation stage” 4 years after it all began.
