A huge thank you to Cal Fire for stopping by Cope today and teaching our kinder, 1st, & 2nd grade students about fire safety. The kids had a blast and learned some valuable safety skills.

Another amazing performance tonight from our 1st grade, 2nd grade, and choir! Thanks again to all of our families for come out to support the winter performance.

Thank you to Ms. Bolanos and Mrs. Choudry for presenting tonight’s Parent Information Event on Bullying Prevention. We also want to thank those families who braved the weather to make it out.

We are super excited to have our first Seahawk Senators meeting. With representatives from each grade, students will have more opportunities now to share their ideas on how to make Megan Cope even better!

We are fortunate to have Mrs. Stevens, Mr. Willerup, Mrs. Bailey, & Mrs. Fontes in Cope’s community. Because of them our school now has a Free Little Library. Have a book leave a book, need a book take a book. We are so very excited!

Our 3rd grade students in Ms. Tyson’s were busy writing over 1320 messages of kindness on coffee sleeves. Imagine the surprise when someone gets their next coffee at Starbucks! #KindnessStartsWithMe

Megan Cope held a Kindness Assembly this morning in honor of one very special teacher Mrs. Barnett. At the ceremony we presented our new kindness garden and the “Mrs. Barnett Buddy Bench”. A big thanks to PTA for helping to organize and Mrs. Barnett’s family for joining us!

Parents you may hear this afternoon that Chuck E Cheese was at Cope today. Chuck E Cheese is holding a Cope Cook’s Night Off from 5-9 tonight. Stop by and let them know you are from Cope and a portion of proceeds will go back to the school.

Megan Cope was privileged to host some outstanding members of our community as principal for the day. It was a pleasure to work with Dr. Colson from MSJC and Mrs. O’Neill from Kyrocera.

Cope teachers are back and getting ready for the first day of school this Thursday. Wanted to share an uplifting example of classroom rules I saw this morning. Looking forward to a great school year!
