I made a magical appearance on the QI Christmas special last night! 😁
This was so much fun to film and brill to watch live. Also loved working on a routine especially for it... toy themed AND eco was quite a challenge!

I loved speaking at this conference today, and hearing from all the other speakers on engaging communities with nature. I've come away excited to work on new ideas and reach even more people with my #enviromagic 😊

@LifeofOpuscula I see it as the tricks working with the message, rather than under it. But I find it more effective to start with the messages and use that to help me choose the best tricks.
I do also have some in there more for fun. You can't talk about climate change and not produce fire!

@MeganSwannMagic That's really interesting! The tricks essentially fitting into and under and through the words of the speech. So it's really the same starting-point when you do 'non-magic' speeches?

@LifeofOpuscula I start as you would for any speech, with the main messages I want to convey, then find effects which fit with those. Some messages are easier than others to do this for!
I also write out the steps of the trick and link my words to those to make sure it enhances the message
