The moving of all the city’s stray dogs to shelters within a matter of weeks is going to result in horrendously inhumane treatment of them. Enough shelters do not even exist to take them on. As it is animals in urban surroundings are subjected to ill treatment and brutality. Surely there is a better way to manage the situation and a humane way can be found in which these innocent animals are looked after and kept safe as well. Dogs are the most beautiful, gentle creatures, they do not deserve this kind of cruelty. #straydogs #AnimalRights

#CommunityAnimals #Delhi #SupremeCourt #AnimalRights #PETAIndia

The SC’s directive to remove all stray dogs from Delhi-NCR is a step back from decades of humane, science-backed policy. These voiceless souls are not “problems” to be erased. Shelters, sterilisation, vaccination & community care can keep streets safe - without cruelty. Blanket removals are cruel, shortsighted, and strip us of compassion. We can ensure public safety and animal welfare go hand in hand.

#SaveDelhiDogs #SaveDelhiDogs2025 #StrayDogs #StopRelocation #ABCRules2023

If you’ve never loved a stray dog, you’ve missed the purest love there is and that loss is yours alone. This judgment doesn’t just break laws, it breaks compassion. It violates the Animal Birth Control Rules, 2023, overrides animal welfare laws, and tramples the duties our Constitution asks of us. We owe our strays better. 🐾 #JusticeForStrays #dogs #delhi #sc

Here’s the fundamental problem with Supreme Court’s verdict on stray dogs: Humanity’s place at the top of the food chain is by sheer luck. We can’t claim superiority, and no guarantee we’ll hold it forever. Yet we use our privilege to justify exterminating other species. The Supreme Court’s order on #straydogs not only lacks empathy but shows an ignorance of basic evolutionary biology. Retract it now.

There’s just no compassion left. No compassion. Who will look after their food there? Atleast on the streets there are some empathetic humans still who feed these poor voiceless souls. They will die of hunger and thirst there and that’s the death warrant the SC has signed. Please someone start a petition and let’s stop this genocide. I’m with you !!!

Regarding the order of the Supreme Court about stray dogs in Delhi I have written to the Hon'ble Chief Justice of India this morning with an appeal: (a) For a stay on the directions passed by the SC yesterday regarding stray dogs in Delhi and (b) For the review of the order by a larger Bench. The issue of management of stray dogs as well as safety of people is definitely a matter of concern. However, it is not something that can be resolved by arbitrary orders passed by the judiciary without any larger consultative process. Also, subjecting defenseless animals to wanton cruelty can never be a solution. We have sufficient laws in the country to deal with the issue of stray dogs and their sterilization as well as population control. And I agree that it is a very important issue where the welfare and safety of common people is concerned. However, the failure of municipal authorities to implement these laws and do their job cannot and should not become a reason for the judiciary to impose cruel and inhumane directions.

If a dog bites — kill it. If a bull hits — kill it. If pigeons spread disease — stop feeding them, let them die. But if a luxury car owner runs over someone — silence. If someone misbehaves with a girl — silence. #humanity #straydogs #voiceforvoiceless

1. Wait for written orders of the Supreme Court on stray dogs in NCT. 2. Media is whipping up animal hate frenzy - ignore. 3. I have already reached out to legal professionals who are passionate about animal welfare and rest assured this order will be challenged legally. 4. In the interim, do your best to protect voiceless street animals from animal hating vigilantes who will try to use this opportunity to cause them harm. 5. Animal welfare workers, especially feeders, immediately buy a body camera and ensure you have it ON during your routine feeding to ensure you document any hate/violence towards you. At worst, ensure you have your mobile phone handy to video document any harassment. 6. Don't give up, standing up for voiceless animals is the least we can do in our lives. 7. Don't indulge time wasters & trolls who will try to bait you into useless online arguments. Stay focused.
