BREAKING NEWS | Two notorious suspects - wanted for murder - have just been killed during a confrontation with police in the Verulam area. The men were linked to two separate double murders earlier this year. Working closely with SAPS eThekwini Outer North CI, members from Durban North SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, Newlands East SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, Durban Metro Police Trio Crimes Unit and K9 Saint Security tracked the pair to a home in eMhlasini. They allegedly came under attack, sparking a shootout. Two guns have been found at the scene. @eNCA

We welcome the ANC led governments intervention with regards to the rising fuel costs because of the war in the Middle East. By cutting the fuel levy by R3 it will buffer the citizens from rising fuel and food prices. This is what a government that cares and is responsive to the needs of the people does. @MehlamiP @IOL @kaisoKG SA does not have a skills shortage, we have artisans, teachers, doctors who are currently unemployed and most of them it's +5 years. What the government has failed is to industrialise the economy & left capital to create a consumer economy. Go to any town/City it's shopping malls

@IOL @kaisoKG Too much value has been placed on the matric certificate, not because it proves any level of vocational skills but probably because very few people who enter the schooling system get to finish high school.

@IOL @kaisoKG This argument makes sense if the skills shortages are in those areas. The education system must be planned around the economic system. Currently, the education system has a poor throughput, with no clear linkage between economic development and human capital development…
