Legislators across the Dutch political spectrum have denounced the comments as a dangerous escalation of radical right discourse. While the Netherlands saw approximately 6,000 asylum applications in early 2026, Markuszower has sought to frame the arrival of Palestinians as a security threat, claiming ironically and without evidence that the vast majority of the population is inherently violent.
