The opinions of Muslims who have lost friends and family, seen them murdered, mutilated, imprisoned, raped and tortured by Israelis, have been ignored to place this privileged, overfunded, ultranationalist cult in the spotlight

Germany's domestic intelligence service has revealed its fascist character by criminalizing legitimate Palestinian activism through its designation of Handala, the iconic symbol of Palestinian resilience, and the watermelon representing historic Palestine as "secular Palestinian extremism." This isn't counter-terrorism as they tell us, it is the state using its security apparatus to delegitimize Palestinian identity and crush dissent. By equating symbols of resistance with extremism, the BfV reveals itself as an instrument of authoritarian control, criminalizing political expression to align with Israel's apartheid framework. This is the face of fascism: using state power to suppress marginalized voices and criminalize solidarity with the oppressed.

Supporters argue systems like this protect legitimate national security interests, like troop movements, intelligence operations and sensitive military capabilities. Critics warn that it is an easy way to silence the exposure of misconduct.
The D-Notice system, which began in the UK, was reportedly used in political scandals, state misconduct and intelligence controversies.
One British official told Australian representatives that public interest plays no role in the issuing of D-Notices.
A D-Notice is an advisory asking journalists not to publish certain information. In Britain, 90% of media comply. The D-Notice system allows pressure to be applied to journalists quietly, no formal bans, no police raids.
Stories like the Afghan Files, which exposed war crimes by Australian forces, may never have reached the public, and would never have required journalists to be raided.
