I still havent beaten Rebirth because of the sheer amount of bloat in it. Who thought giving an FF game an ubisoft open world was a good idea?
Shame because I think this remake trilogy has fantastic combat and adds great characterization for the formerly optional characters.

Original ff7 managed to be so dense of content that the midgar arc ended up being so impactful while essentially being a 2-3 intro before the game starts. This is something the remake can't do because it loves to waste your time

I played the first 90 minutes of the original Final Fantasy VII. Wow, I had no idea how short the Midgar arc was in the OG. I've already met Aerith, which is like Chapter 8 in Remake and that's almost the halfway point of that game.

The ironic thing here is that lately Atlus has been trying to make it easier for players to breeze through the dungeon crawling sections and get back to the social sim parts of the game which are easily the worst looking parts of the game.

Reimagine literally made the entire models in real life and then scanned them.
So every single change in the model, from hand position to expression had to be remodeled.
