Professional victim @SaltSSB accuses @Technicals_ of producing a "biased hit piece", even though Salt claims to have not seen the video, because Technicals didn't personally DM Salt to ask why they mocked the death of Charlie Kirk, or laughed at the thought of fellow community members being assassinated. Salt attempts to justify the politicization of the smash community, citing the large number of LGBT community members, before stating that those who want smash to remain apolitical are just "privileged" - specifically privileged straight white men. Salt then contradicts themselves, now claiming that the politicization is coming from transphobic chuds instead.

I've seen dozens and dozens of responses to the Salt video, and not a single one has addressed any of the criticisms that Technicals raised in the video. These people seem to think that quote tweeting "LMFAAOOOO" somehow absolves them of all criticism, or invalidates it outright. They don't understand that their childish responses and lack of empathy are, quite literally, creating this counter-culture that they loathe, while simultaneously proving Technicals correct in the assertion that the community has become poisoned. They're doing it to themselves.

Been seeing a pretty heavy Matrix attack from the usual demographics against Technicals since he posted his latest video on the “political poisoning” of the Smash community. I’ve been seeing people spread that he is alt-right, transphobic, a misogynist, a “kink shamer,” that he supports pedophilia, and of course people are threatening violence against him as they always do. These posts have thousands of likes. Technicals entire argument is that the community should focus on… y’know, the VIDEO GAME instead of being just another community hellbent on political activism. Mew2king shared the same sentiment, that the community needs to focus on the game instead of politics, and then was attacked relentlessly by the transgender community, telling him to commit suicide in droves. This of course happened months after they drove Hax to suicide all because leadership couldn’t bear to face the consequences of lightening up on their censorship that they constantly enforce on everybody. The truth is that they do not want to unite around the game, they want a political echo chamber. They want to enforce their politics into the game and community because it gives them power over others. That is what all of the Smash community’s problems stem from, wanting power over others. Until this power structure is dismantled, the Smash community will continue to be a shell of its former self. It will only continue to be an exclusionary social club compared to its peak popularity during the 2010s.
