Pickering Man On Bail For Trafficking Fentanyl Charged Again For Trafficking Fentanyl
A 25-year-old Pickering man is facing charges after police responded to reports of an armed individual at a local restaurant.
Durham Regional Police say officers were called to a McDonald’s on Kingston Road at approximately 6:40 PM on Saturday, March 28, after receiving a report of a man inside the restaurant who was believed to be in possession of a firearm.
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. While no firearm was reported as recovered, police say a search of the individual resulted in the seizure of more than 180 grams of fentanyl, along with scales, cell phones, and other drug-related paraphernalia.
The suspect was released on bail a month earlier for:
-Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
-Possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking
-Possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking
-Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
-Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
-Failing to comply with a probation order
Jayden James Vince-Anthony, 25, of Pickering, has been charged with:
-Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl)
-Breach Probation
He was held for a bail hearing.
