I lived in the Soviet Union. This reminds me of the Soviet Union.

BREAKING: Republican Congressman Bryan Steil just acknowledged that there will be an additional process that all women will have to go through if they want to vote after changing their name due to marriage under the Save Act. “It will look a lot like if an individual wanted to go and sell their car. If you have a different name than what was on your car, there is a simple, straightforward process for that.” Undoubtedly this will lead to less women voting, and most women vote Democrat. This is the real reason Republicans want to pass this law. They want to silence women.

The SAVE Act is being voted on today, and a lot of people think it’s a voter ID bill. It’s not. It’s a voter registration bill that changes what you need just to register to vote. It also ends mail-in ballots and would silence millions of military families serving around the world and Americans who travel for work. They deserve a voice. Go to 5calls.org, enter your zip code, and search “SAVE Act.” Call your representative and tell them to vote NO on the SAVE Act. Our democracy only works if we all can participate.

Republicans have introduced a bill that would disenfranchise millions of women from voting if their married name doesn’t match the name on their birth certificate.

As thousands of students, workers, and business owners participate in the National ICE Out Protests, the movement regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement has transitioned from a localized protest in Minneapolis to a nationwide economic event. bit.ly/3Zc0JSS

NYT is so weak. They made the Bovino Nazi coat thing into a fashion story.

We love seeing people discover that transit can be a pretty convenient and cheap alternative to driving. ESPECIALLY when getting to the sports complex.
