A message for memecoin Devs, Professor's Reflections: 8 Harsh Truths of being a Memecoin Dev in 2024: Growing a building a memecoin project is one of the most difficult challenges anyone can take on. This is why 99.999% of all projects fail within a very short timeframe (in addition to all the scamming and bullshit in the space). As I reflect back on the last 7+ months of the $LAB journey, below is an overview of my personal experience that I hope will help current and/or prospective devs understand and overcome inevitable challenges: 1. In order to grow a Memecoin project in the current environment, it likely will take a significant amount of capital to get things off the ground and build trust with your community if you are new to the scene. 2. You have to have the mental fortitude and toughness of @davidgoggins. You can put in countless hours and spend ungodly amount of $$$$/resources into a project to grow it - only for the next investor to say you are not doing enough, or WEN marketing. 3. Your personal relationships, job, sleep and health will suffer if you are not extremely mindful of your daily actions with your project. It is very easy for your project to become all consuming, and supersede important life priorities. 4. You must be prepared to handle the volatility of the market, and never waver from the path you are on despite what your chart says. 5. Everyone will expect you to be present at all times of the day. It is important to express to your community that you are human too, and delegate communications with your team. 6. Without a team and/or support growing your project, you will 100% inevitably fail IMO. The amount of time, effort, brain power, and resources needed to grow a project is significant. Massive shoutout to all of our giga brain scientists that have made $LAB possible 7+ months later. 7. Being a memecoin dev can be a thankless job, even if you do everything right and put the community first. This is the harsh reality of the space and you have to be mentally prepared for it. 8. The chart will not reflect the power of your community or progress. It takes a unicorn type community to ride out the journey of parabolic pumps followed by extreme movements to the downside. All in all, I want to give a MASSIVE shoutout to all of the real memecoin devs and BUILDOORS that simply keep pushing forward in this wild space. THE LAB COAT STAYS ON!
