"THE X ALGORITHM JUST GOT WORSE!" Has it tho? People keep overcomplicating the new update but from what I know so far, here's the breakdown: Before your tweet is even judged, your account is scored. Premium accounts start way ahead, unverified accounts are capped lower, and bad follower ratios or any restrictions multiply everything down. Same tweet, different accounts = completely different outcomes. Then your tweet gets one real chance: the first 30 minutes. Minutes 0 to 5: it’s shown to a small slice of your followers plus a tiny out of network test, with this X is watching how fast people react. Minutes 5 to 15: if engagement is strong, distribution widens to more followers and more non followers. Minutes 15 to 30: if it’s still moving, it enters "For You" feeds at scale. If it stalls early, it’s done(like most of my posts). There’s no revival later because your tweet is competing with newer posts that have better velocity. Engagement isn’t equal either. Replies matter far more than likes. Author replying to replies is a huge boost. Profile clicks matter. Reposts help a bit. Likes barely move the needle. Reports kill a post instantly. Videos don’t save you either, watch time barely counts compared to conversation. There’s no relevance magic or trend boost happening in the background. Each post gets a score, and that score alone determines distribution. Grok evaluates it. That’s it. So if your posts aren’t getting reach, it’s usually not “shadowbans” or timing conspiracies. It’s slow early engagement, weak conversations, or an account that starts at a disadvantage. X isn’t about posting content anymore. It’s about starting conversations fast. So what do you think?
