@Memphis10fandom @PinkNews There’s a growing number of people claiming they are literally changing sex. And I f it was purely about gender then they wouldn’t need to modify their physical sexed body. Any reduced suicidality or increased mental health by medically ‘transitioning’ is temporary.

The Bill prevents counties from prohibiting “mental health therapy to help a minor address an inconsistency between the minor’s sex and the minor’s perceived gender.” That’s the clinical definition of conversion therapy as it applies to gender identity.

@alley_robin_ @PinkNews It’s the combination of info that enable re-identification. Just because people want something doesn’t mean this bill is well designed. It’s very flawed with loopholes. proper scientific research requires IRB oversight, informed consent, de-identification, and peer review.

@alley_robin_ @PinkNews You could verify insurance compliance through insurer audits and billing records without a public-facing patient database. 1. Conversion therapy doesn’t work ( 68-1-2502). That shouldn’t be in there. 2. 68-1-2503 states right to public transparency not right to research.
