The Nets future hinges on the Nets drafted players becoming top level players, waiting for a star to become available for trade and hope to snag a star in 2028 free agency. That’s the reason why they don’t want to commit to any player past 2 years on their contracts. That’s plan. A lot of what if’s.. Hope it works out.

Horrible comp, doing too much, the Knicks back then were capped out, had 6 bad contracts, limited assets, and stunk The Nets are just super young, just started drafting again, and still have 12ish tradable firsts

Nets went into the start of the 24-25 season with unlimited future picks and cap flexibility. Fast forward 2 years and there is virtually nothing to show for it. Team is banking on MBJ/Egor to be stars. Nets have become early 2000s Knicks. Waiting for stars to come. Pathetic.
