Mendell 4th Grade Scholars visit the Old State House and Meeting House. They have been studying American History with a focus on counter-narratives, centering the voices of all who contributed and advocated for freedom. They demand and deserve a more complete history #TakeAgency

Fifth graders presented their reports on indigenous species of the rainforest to their kindergarten reading buddies. I don’t know who enjoyed it more! So much joy, curiosity and excitement for learning! #AspiretoExcellence #TakeAgency

The annual Mendell Mile is back on track. All students in grades 1-5 ran a mile on our track. The sense of accomplishment, community and inclusivity was palpable! Thanks to the staff, families and donors who made this possible and the staff at white stadium! #Mendellmagic

The Mini Mendell Fun Run was a hit. It was awesome to see our upper grade Girls on the Run cheering on and supporting our youngest scholars. #Beinclusive #TakeAgency

Our grade 2 students had an amazing day at the @ArnoldArboretum. This was a perfect, real world opportunity to explore their unit on pollination.

This week we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week at the Mendell! Mendell teachers model our values of inclusivity, excellence and agency everyday. It is an honor and privilege to celebrate them now, but truthfully educators deserve our appreciation all year. #Thankateacher

Look who is taking agency to beautify our school yard?! The Mendell Beautification Club was inspired by Mendell students who wanted to make our school better, cleaner and more beautiful for all and the adults couldn’t help but join in! #mightyforceforgood
