@Bushmaster2969 @HumanityChad Right? Irritating af. I presume from the comments he told her who he was, I couldn't watch her long enough to find out.
English

@HumanityChad Extremely unprofessional interviewing here. Is this really what a twitch event is like ? Just a bunch of inexperienced interviewers ?
English

@SlenderSherbet But how do we know he's not just really really small?

@sniffpetrol I still don't understand this having to see a podcast (is it still a podcast?) thing but each to their own I suppose. I'll carry on with just audio as the good pod lord intended.

🚨this is very important as it’s happening a lot and far too many good people on this app are losing the accounts so can I ask you all to share this far and wide as possible to make everyone aware. If you get a dm from someone you know or follow and it’s got a link asking you to vote etc like the one below. That means that accounts been hacked and soon as you click on the link your account will be hacked 😡

Canadian journalist @mark_slapinski replying to legendary tennis player @Martina because she defended women’s right to safe spaces. Unbelievable.

@SlenderSherbet @Rainmaker1973 I know it's IN China but did it need to be MADE of China?
English

@CalumDouglas1 They're not actually preparing to DO anything with this information, they're just checking how far behind they are so they can say "no point now" to make themselves feel like they tried.

Thats quite interesting, parts of Professor Postan`s huge WW2 historical work on the organization of the British War industry cant be accessed at Kew National archives at the moment because quote:
"it is in use by a Government Department"
Postan was hired as a wartime "historian" to look at British war production, he was a professor at Cambridge University but he was also involved with British Intellgence.
Parts of his study had to be removed in the 1950`s as it was percieved that the Russians could possibly infer usedful details from it.

@upselersq See, this ☝️ is a bot and still sounds like it has an attitude problem.

Result! Finally got a copy of this one by @James1940, a lot harder to get hold of than it should've been (partly because I insist on buying books from actual shops maybe) but @Waterstones York came through.

English

@JeanHatchet The problem is, the people who have co-opted them will go out and vote, the people who think they're risable won't.
English

@alessionaval I can see why @lukepollard is like this tbf. He hasn't been and still isn't doing his job. He can blame it on the 14 years of tories if he likes but there's a couple of problems, he hasn't delivered anything since he came in & the cuts, the big cuts, were done by Blair and Brown.

@iainpdooley @afneil Tell me you're a moron wi..... Oh, you just did, never mind.
English

@afneil Tell me you’re an NPC hack who has swallowed the Russia=bad propaganda without telling me you’re an NPC hack who has swallowed the Russia=bad propaganda.
But then, you did swallow the Covid scaremonging BS.

Ukraine is victim of an unprovoked invasion by a barbaric totalitarian killing machine. And the VP of the USA says he’s proud not to be helping it. Immoral, callous charlatan. Let’s hope we never hear of him again after 2028.

@Mr_Husky1 There was a little girl in my eldest daughters class at primary with DS, she was a lovely girl, all the other kids played with her and looked out for her, every bday party we went to she was there. When she moved schools early towards the end of primary all the girls were upset.

“An Open Letter to the Parent Who Invited the Whole Class—Except My Son…
Hi there,
I know we don’t know each other well, but our children are in the same class. Recently, your child handed out birthday invitations to all 22 classmates—except my son, Sawyer.
This wasn’t an oversight. It was a choice.
And I want you to know—we don’t expect to be invited to every birthday party. When Sawyer had his party last year, we kept it small too. We understand that not every child can be included every time. But in this case, you chose to include everyone except him.
And that’s what made it different.
It wasn’t because he’s mean—he’s the happiest little boy you’ll ever meet.
It wasn’t because he isn’t fun—his laughter is contagious.
It wasn’t because your child and mine don’t get along—Sawyer talks about your child often, with excitement and kindness.
The only reason is because my son has Down Syndrome.
I don’t write this in anger. I write it because I believe this is an opportunity—for reflection, for growth, for understanding.
Down Syndrome doesn’t mean you don’t want friends.
It doesn’t mean you don’t have feelings.
It doesn’t mean you don’t love birthday parties.
People with Down Syndrome want the same things we all want—love, connection, belonging. Sometimes it takes a little patience to understand Sawyer’s words, but his laughter, his joy, and his love need no explanation at all.
I’ll admit something honestly—I used to be like you. Before Sawyer, I didn’t understand. I was unsure, maybe even a little uncomfortable, because I didn’t know what to expect.
But Sawyer changed that.
He’s taught me more about joy, resilience, and unconditional love than I ever imagined possible. His siblings have grown up with a deeper sense of empathy and connection because they’ve learned that being different doesn’t mean being less.
Maybe your child didn’t want him there.
Maybe you weren’t sure how to handle it.
But that’s where parenting matters most.
This was a moment—a real, meaningful moment—to teach your child something powerful:
That inclusion matters.
That kindness matters.
That leaving someone out because they’re different is never okay.
It could have been a simple conversation. A small lesson. But one that could shape how your child sees others for the rest of their life.
And I’ll be honest—I’ve reflected on my part too.
I never introduced Sawyer to his class as “a child with Down Syndrome.” I’ve always just seen him as Sawyer. But maybe if I had taken the time to explain, to educate, to open that door for understanding, things might have been different.
So yes, I’m hurt.
But more than that, I’m hopeful.
Because I believe you and I both want the same thing—for our children to grow up feeling loved, accepted, and included. For them to learn compassion. For them to never feel like they don’t belong.
Please know—I’m not here to fight you.
I’m here to talk, if you ever want to.
I’m here to advocate, not just for my son, but for every child who deserves to be seen.
Because every child deserves more than just a seat in the classroom.
They deserve an invitation to belong.”

@James1940 I would if it wasn't behind a paywall. Also, the Times backed the Tories for 14 long years and it was the tories who cut so much from our armed forces, left the economy in tatters and made sure this Labour govt had to deal with billions in compensation from the blood scandal etc.
