The Government of the Republic of Indonesia strongly condemns the Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, which constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006). Indonesia calls on all parties to respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, cease attacks that endanger civilians and civilian infrastructure, and return to dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and achieve peace. Indonesia also expresses deep concern over the escalating tensions in Lebanon, particularly in Beirut and along the Blue Line demarcation in southern Lebanon, as well as the attacks on UNIFIL posts that have caused injuries to several peacekeeping personnel. Indonesia underscores the responsibility of all parties under international law to ensure the safety and security of United Nations personnel and property. The Indonesian Government continues to closely monitor developments and their impact on the Indonesian Garuda Contingent serving in UNIFIL, and ensures that the safety and security of peacekeeping personnel remain the top priority in the current situation. The Indonesian Government expresses its appreciation for the integrity, professionalism, and dedication of the Garuda Contingent together with UNIFIL in carrying out their mandate to maintain stability and peace in southern Lebanon, and hopes that they will remain safe in the discharge of their duties.

Pemerintah Republik Indonesia mengecam keras serangan Israel di Lebanon selatan, yang merupakan pelanggaran serius terhadap hukum humaniter internasional dan Resolusi Dewan Keamanan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa 1701 (2006). Indonesia menyerukan kepada seluruh pihak untuk menghormati kedaulatan dan integritas teritorial Lebanon, menghentikan serangan yang membahayakan warga dan infrastruktur sipil, serta kembali pada dialog dan diplomasi guna mencegah eskalasi lebih lanjut dan mewujudkan perdamaian. Pemerintah Indonesia juga menyampaikan keprihatinan mendalam atas meningkatnya ketegangan di Lebanon, khususnya di Beirut dan sepanjang garis demarkasi Blue Line di Lebanon selatan, serta atas serangan terhadap pos UNIFIL yang telah menyebabkan luka pada sejumlah personel pemelihara perdamaian. Indonesia menegaskan tanggung jawab seluruh pihak di bawah hukum internasional untuk menjamin keselamatan dan keamanan personel dan properti PBB. Pemerintah Indonesia terus memantau secara dekat perkembangan situasi serta dampaknya terhadap Kontingen Garuda yang bertugas di UNIFIL, dan memastikan bahwa keselamatan dan keamanan personel pasukan pemelihara perdamaian menjadi prioritas utama dalam situasi saat ini. Pemerintah Indonesia menyampaikan penghargaan atas integritas, profesionalisme dan dedikasi Kontingen Garuda bersama UNIFIL dalam menjalankan mandatnya untuk menjaga stabilitas dan perdamaian di Lebanon selatan, dan berharap agar seluruh Kontingen Garuda diberikan keselamatan dalam menjalankan tugasnya.

Attended the virtual meeting of the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the Situation in the Middle East (13/3). ASEAN must stand united and closely coordinated in responding to the wider regional implications of the conflict by: ✔️supporting de-escalation, ✔️protecting our citizens, and ✔️strengthening our collective resilience.

Dalam kegiatan Diplomat Peduli 2026, saya bersama Wamenlu serta jajaran Eselon I dan II @Kemlu_RI menyerahkan 1.950 paket sembako kepada para pegawai Kemlu, mulai dari PDDN dan PPPK hingga tenaga keamanan, pengemudi, teknisi, pengelola taman, dan petugas kebersihan (13/3). Di bulan Ramadan yang penuh berkah ini, kegiatan tersebut merupakan wujud kepedulian, kebersamaan, dan semangat saling berbagi di keluarga besar Kemlu RI. Semoga ikhtiar ini membawa manfaat, mempererat tali silaturahmi, dan menjadi amal kebaikan bagi kita semua.

Kemlu juga telah menyampaikan Laporan Keuangan Tahun 2025 (unaudited) kepada BPK RI sebagai wujud transparansi dan akuntabilitas tata kelola keuangan. Apresiasi atas dukungan BPK RI yang turut mendukung penguatan diplomasi Indonesia serta kontribusi dalam pembentukan norma dan standar global di bidang audit, akuntabilitas, dan pengelolaan keuangan publik.

The Foreign Ministers of Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and United Arab Emirates condemn Israeli occupation authorities’ continued closure of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif to Muslim worshippers particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. Security restrictions on access to the Old City of Jerusalem and its places of worship coupled with discriminatory and arbitrary access restrictions to the other places of worship in the old city constitute a flagrant violation to international law, including international humanitarian law, the historical and legal status quo, and the principle of unrestricted access to places of worship. The Ministers affirmed their absolute rejection and condemnation of this illegal and unjustified measure, as well as Israel’s continued provocative actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif and against worshippers. They stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem or its Islamic and Christian holy sites. The Ministers reiterated that the entire area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which amounts to 144 dunams, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and that the Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs Department, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, is the legal entity with exclusive jurisdiction to administer the affairs of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/Haram Al-Sharif and regulate entry to it. The Ministers called on Israel, as the occupying Power, to immediately cease the closure of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque , remove access restrictions to the Old City of Jerusalem, and refrain from obstructing Muslim worshippers’ access to the mosque. They also called on the international community to adopt a firm position that compels Israel to halt its ongoing violations and illegal practices against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, as well as its violations of the sanctity of these holy places.

Segala upaya evakuasi dilakukan dengan penuh kehati-hatian dan koordinasi erat dengan berbagai pihak 🤝🏻 Sebagai bagian dari tahap pertama, 10 WNI 🇮🇩 lainnya dijadwalkan tiba besok hari. Saya ucapkan terima kasih dan apresiasi untuk semua pihak yang terlibat dalam proses evakuasi ini.

Received the Ambassadors of Gulf Cooperation Council @GCCSG member states and Jordan in Jakarta (9/3). I conveyed Indonesia’s deep concern over the developments in the Middle East. At a time of growing global uncertainty, the world needs stability, not escalation. Respect for sovereignty, international law, and diplomacy must remain the way forward.

After receiving reports from Indonesian Missions across the Middle East regarding the increasingly worrying security situation in the region, the Indonesian Government reiterates its deep and serious concern over the rising and widening tensions and their potential impact in the Middle East. Indonesia calls on the United States and Israel to cease their attacks against Iran, and calls on Iran to also cease attacks targeting neighboring countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Indonesia reiterates the obligation of all parties to uphold the principles of international law, in particular the prohibition on the use of force against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states. Indonesia urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint, de-escalate tensions, and return to the negotiating table through dialogue and diplomacy. The Indonesian Government continues to closely monitor the impact of the conflict on Indonesian nationals in the region and has prepared contingency measures should conditions require the repatriation of Indonesian citizens from various countries.

Setelah menerima laporan dari berbagai Perwakilan RI di kawasan Timur Tengah mengenai situasi keamanan yang semakin mengkhawatirkan di kawasan, Pemerintah Indonesia kembali menyampaikan keprihatinan mendalam/serious concern atas meningkatnya dan meluasnya ketegangan serta dampaknya di Timur Tengah. Pemerintah Indonesia menyerukan kepada Amerika Serikat dan Israel untuk menghentikan serangan terhadap Iran, serta menyerukan kepada Iran untuk menghentikan serangan yang menargetkan negara-negara tetangga di kawasan, termasuk Perserikatan Emirat Arab, Arab Saudi, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait dan Yordania. Indonesia menegaskan kembali kewajiban semua pihak untuk menegakkan prinsip-prinsip hukum internasional, khususnya mengenai larangan penggunaan kekerasan terhadap kedaulatan dan integritas teritorial negara. Indonesia mendorong para pihak untuk menahan diri secara maksimal, meredakan ketegangan, serta kembali ke meja perundingan melalui dialog dan diplomasi. Pemerintah Indonesia terus memantau secara dekat dampak konflik terhadap WNI yang berada di kawasan dan telah siapkan langkah kontijensi jika kondisi mengharuskan dilakukan repatriasi dari berbagai negara

Spoke with H.H. Prince @FaisalbinFarhan Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 (4/3). We expressed deep concern over the latest escalation of conflict in the Middle East. I underscored the importance of upholding sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with international law and the UN Charter. I also conveyed Indonesia’s continued support for de-escalation and called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint.

Had a phone call with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed @OFMUAE 🇦🇪 (4/3) to exchange views on current developments in the Middle East, including UAE’s assessment of the strikes affecting its territory. I conveyed Indonesia’s sympathy for the human loss and reaffirmed our principled position on respecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as upholding international law and the principles of the UN Charter. Indonesia remains steadfast in supporting all efforts toward de-escalation.

Received H.E. Mohammad Boroujerdi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran (4/3). We discussed the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East. I underscored the importance of respect for international law and the UN Charter, and the urgent need to prevent further escalation through diplomacy. I also conveyed a letter from President @prabowo to President Masoud Pezeshkian expressing 🇮🇩's deepest condolences on the passing of H.E. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran.

Saya memimpin pertemuan virtual dengan para Kepala Perwakilan RI di Timur Tengah (3/3) untuk membahas eskalasi situasi di kawasan tersebut. Saya menegaskan bahwa pelindungan WNI merupakan prioritas utama, serta meminta seluruh Perwakilan RI untuk terus siaga dan memperbarui langkah-langkah kontinjensi sesuai perkembangan situasi. Apresiasi juga saya sampaikan atas kerja keras rekan-rekan di Perwakilan RI dalam memastikan layanan pelindungan bagi WNI di wilayah kerja masing-masing berjalan secara optimal.

Spoke with Foreign Minister @araghchi of Iran (2/3) regarding the escalating situation in the Middle East. Indonesia stands ready to play a constructive role in advancing peace, including offering our willingness to facilitate dialogue or mediation, with the common objective of preventing further escalation and stopping the unnecessary loss of innocent lives. Indonesia urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and pursue immediate de-escalation. Respect for international law and the UN Charter must be upheld. Dialogue and diplomacy are the only viable path to regional stability.
