Shared Indonesia's perspectives on resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainability at the 2026 BRICS FMM (14/5). I emphasized that: ✔️ Resilience requires a strong BRICS architecture that reinforces economic connectivity and ensures food and energy security; ✔️ BRICS should help bridge the digital divide and shape global governance of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence; ✔️ BRICS remains a platform for constructive multilateralism; ✔️ Sustainability must advance with equity at its core. As BRICS continues to expand and represent a broader Global South, I also called on BRICS to strengthen the voice of emerging countries in shaping the future of global order.

At the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi, India (14/5), the Ministers exchanged views on issues of common concern: from geopolitical tensions and security challenges to the future of global governance. I called BRICS to stand together in supporting Palestine and the realization of the Two-State Solution, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions. I also emphasized the crucial role of the peacekeepers in the region and called for accountability over the loss of Indonesian peacekeepers serving in UNIFIL. The security & safety of UN peacekeepers are non-negotiable. As a voice for the Global South, BRICS must act as an active and decisive force in maintaining global peace and stability, and being part of the solution to global challenges.

Delighted to meet External Affairs Minister of India @DrSJaishankar, on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi, India (14/5). Conveyed Indonesia’s support for India’s BRICS Chairship this year and explored ways to further deepen 🇮🇩-🇮🇳 cooperation under Strategic Comprehensive Partnership. Also reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening coordination among BRICS countries amidst regional and global dynamics.

We also exchanged views on regional and global developments, and underscored the importance of maintaining ASEAN unity and centrality amid an increasingly dynamic geopolitical landscape. Pagi ini (11/5), menghadiri Rapat Koordinasi Tim Koordinasi Misi Pemeliharaan Perdamaian (TKMPP) yang dipimpin Menko @PolkamRI, di PMPP TNI, Sentul. Sebagai salah satu kontributor terbesar Misi Pemeliharaan Perdamaian PBB, penugasan Satgas Kontingen Garuda ke UNIFIL (Lebanon) merupakan pelaksanaan amanat konstitusi dan politik luar negeri bebas aktif dalam mewujudkan perdamaian dunia 🕊️ Saya tekankan bahwa negara akan selalu hadir untuk memastikan keselamatan peacekeepers Indonesia di tengah situasi keamanan kawasan yang semakin kompleks.

President @prabowo attended the Opening and Plenary sessions of the 48th ASEAN Summit today (8/5). Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with fellow ASEAN members in key sectors: energy infrastructure, food supply chain, maritime, and citizens protection. At a time of global uncertainties, President Prabowo sends a firm message: ASEAN must continue to lead, shape its environment, secure its future, and become the zone of peace.

Accompanied President @prabowo at the Special Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines (BIMP-EAGA) Summit (7/5) 🇧🇳 🇮🇩 🇲🇾 🇵🇭 to discuss energy and food security in the subregion. Indonesia is going full speed ahead in development of renewable energy and sustainable food production. Working together with our friends in 🇧🇳 🇲🇾 🇵🇭 is critical to safeguard energy and food resilience of the subregion.

In addition to the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM), I attended a series of ministerial-level meetings today (7/5): •⁠ ⁠⁠the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Council Meeting, •⁠ ⁠the ASEAN Coordinating Council (ACC) Meeting, and •⁠ ⁠the ASEAN Joint Foreign and Economic Ministers’ Meeting (Joint AMM-AEM). These three meetings emphasized the importance of a more coordinated approach across ASEAN’s key sectors to effectively respond to current and future geopolitical challenges.

Pleased to meet with Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, H.E. Thongsavan Phomvihane (4/5) in Jakarta. We agreed to elevate 🇮🇩-🇱🇦 cooperation in priority areas: economic, political & security, people-to-people ties, including connectivity & tourism. Also shared views on ASEAN’s role in maintaining peace & stability in the region.

Turut berduka cita yang sedalam-dalamnya atas berpulangnya Prof. Dr. Eddy Pratomo, S.H., M.A. pada Rabu, 29 April 2026. Kepergian beliau merupakan kehilangan besar, bukan hanya bagi keluarga dan rekan-rekan di @Kemlu_RI, tetapi juga bagi dunia akademik dan diplomasi Indonesia. Dedikasi, pemikiran, dan kontribusi beliau dalam diplomasi, hukum internasional dan isu-isu kemaritiman akan selalu dikenang dan menjadi inspirasi. Semoga almarhum mendapatkan tempat terbaik di sisi Tuhan YME, dan keluarga yang ditinggalkan diberikan kekuatan, ketabahan, serta keikhlasan dalam menghadapi duka ini.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia mourns the passing of Chief Private Rico Pramudia, an Indonesian peacekeeper serving with UNIFIL, who sustained severe injuries from an artillery explosion by an Israeli tank near Adchit Al Qusayr on 29 March 2026. Following the attack, the Government of Indonesia through close and intensive coordination with UNIFIL, the Government of Lebanon, and medical teams in Beirut, ensured that immediate and optimum medical treatment was provided. All possible measures were taken. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he passed away despite all efforts to save his life. The Government of Indonesia extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family. It also expresses its highest respect for his dedication and sacrifice in maintaining international peace. The Government continues its close coordination with UNIFIL to ensure that the repatriation of the deceased is carried out promptly and with full dignity. Indonesia once again condemns the attack by Israel that resulted in the death of an Indonesian peacekeeper. Any attack against peacekeepers constitutes a serious violation of international law and may amount to a war crime. Indonesia reiterates its call for the United Nations to conduct an immediate, thorough, and transparent investigation to establish the facts, and stresses that full accountability must be ensured. Safety and security of the UN peacekeepers is not negotiable. Therefore, the Government of Indonesia also continues its coordination with the United Nations and other troop- and police-contributing countries (TPCCs) to strengthen the protection of peacekeepers, including through a comprehensive evaluation of their safety and security, as well as enhanced risk mitigation measures in UNIFIL’s area of operations.

Pemerintah Republik Indonesia menyampaikan duka cita mendalam atas gugurnya Praka Rico Pramudia, prajurit Indonesia dalam misi perdamaian UNIFIL, yang mengalami luka berat akibat ledakan artileri dari tank Israel di dekat kota Adchit Al Qusayr pada 29 Maret 2026. Sejak insiden tersebut, Pemerintah Indonesia melalui koordinasi erat dan intensif dengan pihak UNIFIL, Pemerintah Lebanon, serta tim medis di Beirut telah memastikan penanganan medis dilakukan secara cepat dan optimal. Berbagai langkah medis terbaik telah ditempuh, namun akibat luka berat yang dialami, nyawa almarhum tidak dapat diselamatkan. Pemerintah menyampaikan belasungkawa yang sedalam-dalamnya kepada keluarga yang ditinggalkan. Negara hadir untuk memberikan penghormatan terbaik bagi almarhum atas pengabdian dan pengorbanannya dalam menjaga perdamaian dunia. Pemerintah terus berkoordinasi dengan UNIFIL untuk memastikan proses repatriasi jenazah dapat dilakukan dengan segera dan penuh penghormatan. Indonesia kembali mengutuk keras serangan Israel yang menyebabkan gugurnya peacekeeper Indonesia. Serangan terhadap personel pemelihara perdamaian merupakan pelanggaran serius terhadap hukum internasional dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai kejahatan perang. Indonesia terus mendesak PBB untuk melakukan investigasi yang menyeluruh, transparan, dan akuntabel guna mengungkap fakta serta memastikan pertanggungjawaban atas insiden ini. Keselamatan dan keamanan peacekeepers PBB tidak dapat ditawar. Oleh karenanya, Pemerintah juga terus berkoordinasi dengan PBB dan negara-negara kontributor pasukan untuk memperkuat perlindungan bagi seluruh personel di lapangan, termasuk melalui evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap aspek keselamatan dan keamanan serta penguatan langkah mitigasi risiko di wilayah operasi UNIFIL.

Co-chaired the 8th 🇮🇩-🇵🇭 Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) with Secretary of Foreign Affairs @SecLazaro of the Philippines in Jakarta (23/4). We are committed to strengthening cooperation on maritime security, border management, energy resilience, trade, and the protection of our citizens. Extended our full support to the Philippines as the chair of ASEAN this year, while also emphasizing the importance of keeping ASEAN united, relevant, and responsive in safeguarding regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

Indonesia mengecam keras dan memprotes pemasangan spanduk bertuliskan “Rising Lion” oleh pasukan Israel di atas reruntuhan Rumah Sakit Indonesia di Gaza. Penggunaan simbol dan propaganda militer di atas reruntuhan rumah sakit yang telah dihancurkan, terlebih dengan mengaitkannya pada operasi militer tertentu, merupakan tindakan yang sangat provokatif dan tidak dapat dibenarkan. Rumah Sakit Indonesia adalah fasilitas sipil yang didedikasikan sepenuhnya untuk pelayanan kesehatan bagi masyarakat Gaza, bukan tempat untuk propaganda militer atau pesan intimidatif. Tindakan tersebut merupakan penghinaan terhadap fasilitas kemanusiaan yang dibangun dari solidaritas rakyat Indonesia untuk membantu rakyat Palestina. Indonesia menegaskan bahwa rumah sakit dan seluruh fasilitas medis harus dihormati dan dilindungi sesuai hukum humaniter internasional. Indonesia mendesak Israel untuk menghentikan segala tindakan yang melanggar perlindungan terhadap infrastruktur sipil serta memastikan akuntabilitas atas serangan terhadap fasilitas medis di Gaza.
