It actually it does, China is going through a period of stagnation and deprivation (similar to Brezhnev's USSR). China only advances because it easily steal technology from the West and copies it, and that goes for AI and robotics (because the West is lenient when it comes to letting people from China work there). It has barely the finances to churn out any innovations. Most of its students pass university whether they do a good job, since its guaranteed because it paid for it and its engineering/building is in shambles with "tofu" materials. This isn't even taking into account the numerous factory workers who don't get paid for their work and stay because it's the only job they can get. Protests and dissidents get eliminated completely by the state, and that includes people in the West whose family (back in China) gets threatened by the CCP unless they tow the line. This isn't even taking into account the social credit system which can cost you your livelihood, travel, and resources if you criticise the CCP. The only thing China has is jingoism to offset the crap economic and social conditions, so they use Taiwan as a cudgel to beat their population with to stir nationalism. But once they've taken Taiwan, costing thousands of casualties, and seize the factories which churn out complex computer chips, they'll realise they don't have the qualified staff to use or reverse engineer them (not to mention the fact they have little to no military experience and have just purged their top military, who were the only people who had experience from the Sino-Vietnam war).

Vietnam and Laos has to adopt free market policies to sustain their economy, showing marxism hasn't worked. Otherwise everyone would be impoverished. Same goes with China. The only reason Cuba has worked is because of oil from Venezuela. Most people barely earn anything and thousands have escaped to the US; most live in poverty. Your arguments carry no weight.
