@ZKDID_ @Golden_Eagle___ Saylor is all that’s bad in crypto. People out there with no other care than pumping their bags. He’s the ultimate scammer trying to come with a legitimate face and as the world and media are full of them he’s welcomed with open arms He cares nothing for the ethos, or others tbh

@Golden_Eagle___ What makes me laugh? Is the lies behind the dream. If you look at the major influencers, they obviously have big bags that they don’t want to sell or share. Just look at Saylor as an example he just wants more and more. How the hell does that help people around the world? Sad 😔

I honestly believe that Bitcoin is one of the biggest false promises that we have had regarding equity in my lifetime. It’s why I dumped my Bitcoin quite a few years ago. I did the maths and I just could not make it make sense. Bitcoin divided by infinity is just total bullshit. Imho, there is no way in a million years everything around the world will be priced in Bitcoin. That’s just totally ridiculous to even consider. If 90% of the supply is held by 2%, how the hell is that meant to improve the world? Someone please explain that to me. The inherent greed of humans is so obvious with Bitcoin all I see is greedy and rich people who want to purchase and hold on to as much of it as possible, they do not want to share, they do not want to spend it, and they don’t want equity. That’s clear because there is literally not enough for the world’s population. But there’s enough for the rich elite. In fact Bitcoin has become the antithesis of the Cypherpunk movement and I am honestly absolutely devastated that such a big promise has turned into something that in my eyes is the most disappointing promise of the past two decades. And to top it off the Bitcoin maxis are now so desperate they’re willing to sell the Cypherpunk dream out to the government to pump their own bags. It is a failed promise. There’s no doubt it will raise in value if the rich and greedy continue to hoard it like they do. Bitcoin fixes nothing, and one thing that it definitely does not fix is the inherent greed of humans or the wealth divide. My perception from what I’ve seen since the Bitcoin conference is that Bitcoin is nothing but a false promise and the early holders will become a rich elite creating an even wider gap between the rich and the poor. They can’t deny it. This is exactly what they say. Stack Sats. HODL, stay humble. But they’re not humble and they have literally just gone and begged the government to buy their bags for no other reason, but for the value to increase and make the situation between the rich and the poor even worse. I thought to be balanced and for an experiment I’d ask ChatGPT what it thought it. And believe it or not it says the same as me: Bitcoin’s future appears to be at a pivotal juncture, with increasing mainstream and institutional interest juxtaposed against its foundational ethos of decentralisation. The recent endorsements by presidential candidates such as Robert Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump, who propose significant acquisitions of Bitcoin for the US Treasury, underscore a shift towards recognising Bitcoin as a strategic asset. However, these promises raise questions about feasibility and the impact on Bitcoin’s market dynamics. The proposed purchases, particularly Kennedy’s ambitious 4 million BTC, would face significant logistical and market liquidity challenges, given the current circulating supply. As more institutional players and governments enter the space, Bitcoin’s role could evolve from a decentralised alternative currency to a strategic reserve asset, potentially increasing its value but also exacerbating wealth concentration. This trajectory suggests a future where Bitcoin’s promise as “money for the people” might be overshadowed by its adoption as a tool for wealth preservation by the powerful, unless deliberate efforts are made to ensure broader access and utilisation.

@Padierfind @lorenzomartani @IOHK_Charles @elonmusk My take on what you said there. Is a lot of people in crypto now are miles away from its beginnings and not aligned with the morals that started things off (if we call Bitcoin and Satoshi day one) They are about personal wealth creation and that brings a lot of selfish r-wingers

X is way better than before agreed but I don't trust Elons intentions that he did this out of philanthropy, he's getting a lot out of X himself Also I'm not sure if its just my own crypto bubble but it seems like content on X is leaning a bit right wing at the moment. Could be just my own feed tho

@Padierfind @IOHK_Charles @elonmusk Exactly The licking up to Musk is putrid and it’s disturbing that people in places of prominence in so called decentralised chains are part of it Some of us actually care for more than just our bags. So much more productive ways we could spend time Like promoting our great Chain

@IOHK_Charles @elonmusk more like spending 44 billion so that he can control the narrative if he truly cares about free speech he should decentralize X as much as possible

@ERLeyva @IOHK_Charles It’s when you realise his agenda is just like the likes of Musks and most other elites. Most of South Americas problems are caused by the US by interfering.

@IOHK_Charles Give over. Your just as bad as Musk and everybody else. Most of the problems in South America have been created, manipulated by US interference, putting Pinochet in and other dictators over the years as long as they’ll side with the US. At the detriment of their own people.

@IanDunt I hate to say I told you so. Or point out what’s been pretty apparent for a long time. They’ve been peddling austerity lines for months and using Tory rhetoric. Spending to create jobs and boost the economy is not a bad thing and it’s exactly what the country has lacked.

We'll have to wait to see the statement but the narrative coming from Reeves today is disturbing. Classic Treasury austerity-think. Satisfying short term political balance sheets at the expense of long-term strategy and growth.

@YvetteCooperMP Shoplifting isn’t soaring because of the police. You could be a Tory. Try and do something about the reasons shoplifting is so prominent. Most people care more about the reasons people r needing to steal, than Tescos losing some of their massive profits.

Shoplifting & street crime are soaring yet there are far fewer neighbourhood police on streets - legacy of 14 Tory years. Labour will rebuild neighbourhood policing with new powers to crackdown on antisocial behaviour in our town centres & communities. express.co.uk/comment/expres…

@PublicPriestley Philip is spot on. To any police officer watching this, from the UK anyway, they would more than likely be shocked and appalled, immediately. Simply, they are there to deal with the situation, not then deliver street style retribution We have a judicial system for this.

@PublicPriestley 2/2 it’s why UK police have a pretty decent rep across the world. Not by everybody, but we don’t see the type of things that happen in the US regularly As soon as I saw that kick and stamp, if anything I’d be thinking about arresting him my colleague, it simply can’t be justified

@PublicPriestley 1/2 I’m not really on Twitter to talk about this part of my life. But having spent nearly 20 years as a Police Officer, proportionality is and should be in our minds what ever we do. From making sure young people get second chances to making sure the punishment fits the crime.

@GrahamsNoPlus1 @IOHK_Charles I do think there were a few signs in the latest catalyst round people are looking in to how we can promote the chain more, but we should have a bit more direction from the foundation I know they’re looking at partnerships more But we can’t sit back and pretend it’s not important
