Honor Memorial Day.

Thank you to Boy Scout Emmett Ayala (Troop 88) for proudly placing a U.S. flag outside the County Administration Building in honor of Memorial Day. This meaningful gesture serves as a reminder of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

All offices at the Merced County Administration Building will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in honor of Memorial Day. Regular business hours will resume for all offices on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Hills Ferry Road/River Road will be closed through Friday, May 15, 2026, while crews complete final work on the new bridge. Detour signs are posted along the route. Local resident and emergency vehicle access remains open throughout the closure. hillsferrybridge.com.

Something “beary” special is taking shape outside the Merced County Courthouse Museum in Courthouse Park! A talented wood carver is transforming a tree stump into a beautifully detailed bear, turning what was once a diseased tree into a lasting piece of art for the community.
