1) the *most* racially/economically diverse elem school in the region
2) the ONLY community hub &walkable resource for kids in our neighborhood
3) our biggest deterrent to gentrification

our pta crew has been moved to overflow on the FOURTEENTH floor of DPS’ building @ public comment. on the 1st floor we saw ~$15k worth of espresso equipment at the DPS cafe?? but our kids’ small, diverse &thriving school is too expensive according to the board. interesting!

as predicted, our school has been officially recommended for closure. many reasons cited are centered around being “too small”. the plan is to split our students between SIX different schools. many options being given to closure rec schools are charter schools (hell no)
