Merseyside Girl Guides are taking a bite out of food waste 🍏🚫 With funding from the Zero Waste Community Fund, the "Guiding towards Food Waste Zero" project have: 🎯 Trained 20 leaders to cascade waste-saving skills. 👩‍🍳 Reached 3,000+ young people through cooking and composting workshops. 📉 Prevented 146 tonnes of food waste. Live in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton or Wirral? Please keep bagged waste out of the household recycling bin. Even if the bag contains recyclable items, it cannot be separated at the recycling facility meaning it has to be removed and disposed of. Thank you 🙏
