The historical marker at the Corner of Fourth and Walnut, erected on the 50th anniversary of Merton's epiphany, and the sign for Thomas Merton Square, erected when the intersection was named on the 60th anniversary.

The entry in Thomas Merton's personal journal for March 19th 1958 recording his epiphany at the corner of Fourth and Walnut the previous day - 68 years ago today.
