Proper shocking:: standard.co.uk/news/uk/father… Driver behind dad of two, Ben Wales saw him fall in muddy road, slowed, drove round him. Tipper driver behind them on (handsfree) phone, said "I’m not distracted, I saw the cyclist...” but still crushed him to death. Truly horrible.

Remember, Britain had citizen cycling once. It can again, if the right political choices are made. This is also a good picture for the helmet evangelists. Where was the head injury epidemic when half the population traveled by bike in the 40s and 50s? Hint: there wasn't one.

@chrisgerhard This could make a big difference for those with disabilities, as currently cycles aren't considered mobility aids in the way a mobility scooter is, and suitable cycles may well cost more than the present limit.
