We may have imagined how we could be independent and take care of our own lives. How we would know everything about everything, without never being insecure again. This is what we and others might have expected. That when the time is ripe, we would know how to answer on the questions in our lives. But time doesn't necessarily change anything. Because sometimes. Or sadly, so often. Life just can feel so damn complicated. For someone who doesn't know, it can be hard to explain. It feels like being uncertain about our present and future. Like wanting to do everything at the same time, or never anything. Like our heads are full and empty at the same time. That's when the simplest questions and making decisions start to feel difficult and heavy to handle. Like questions about what should we do now or next? Have we done right or enough? What and when should we eat? Are we and the world around us are even real? That's when we have somehow lost our grip on everything. And we're just full of questions without answers. That's why difficult questions can scare us. Because we're not good at answering even our own simple questions. That's why we may feel ashamed. Because we are clearly somehow more flawed than those who are not as lost as we are. But perhaps, instead of being flawed, we're just carrying too much burden. Too much responsibility. Too much worry and grief. Some of us just gather the burden to carry. Because we always want to do our best. For others, and to keep up with the world. So it's no wonder that the questions seem burdensome to us. And that we do our best. That we carry our burdens. That we are lost. That doesn't make us any more flawed than anyone else. It makes us individuals, who are already doing so much. Who are just trying to survive. Do you find it difficult to handle your life? I do.
